Improve the world through learning

Learning is the foundation of improvements and it’s much more than text books or even hearing a lecture. It’s about experiencing.

The ultimate mission of Strafford Blake is to improve the world. Many companies say this, but SB is the kind of company that can actually do it.

Here's why: learning is the foundation of all improvement. When I say "learning" I don't just mean what you read in a text book or hear in a lecture. I also mean the experiences we have every day and what we learn from each other.

The more we learn, the more our lives improve. The more everybody learns, the more the world improves. I'll give you an example specific to where SB is going to focus first: technology sales careers.

Imagine a high school student from a rough area that doesn't have a great life trajectory, but he's smart and motivated. He may not be book smart, but he knows how to pick up new things quickly, how to apply them, and how to work with people.

Since college is extremely expensive in the US, he may not even consider trying to get a degree. Instead he may choose to work a day-to-day job in his town and live that way his entire life.

The more we learn, the more our lives improve. The more everybody learns, the more the world improves.

But if he has talent and Strafford Blake finds him, then he'll be opened to an entirely new path. He'll have experienced people to teach him, guide him, and get him a job where he'll be making more money than he ever thought he would. He'll also have met new people that he never would have otherwise, which changes his outlook on the world.

You see where I'm going with this...

There's another side to this that helps everyone: great talent creates great companies, and great companies create great things that improve the world.

Of course not all companies do good things, but the more that people have learned and experienced, the more likely they are to use their talent for good things.

That's where the big picture appears and how we can go helping one person improve their life to improving the lives of everyone.
